MEET LIZ
New Leadership Fighting for the Future for Our Community
Liz Olhsson (pronouns: she/her) is proud to be a product of Pacific Northwest public schools, kindergarten through doctorate. She is an experienced climate scientist with a PhD in Environmental Science, Policy and Management and has extensively utilized computer models to study coastal oceans, rivers, and watersheds. A problem-solving enthusiast, she supports her family as an IT systems engineer and project manager, building creative technical solutions to business problems for everyone from small locally-owned businesses to multinational corporations.
Dr. Liz is committed to the principle of Tikkun Olam: "healing the world." She hopes to localize that ideal as the Position 5 Lakehaven Water and Sewer District Commissioner, by helping to chart a path forward into the rapidly changing future of South King County's climate—a path that centers environmental justice, beginning with universal access to water and sanitation.
Dr. Liz lives in Federal Way with her dog and two cats.
